Where Do You Find Confidence?

Let’s talk about true confidence. Not the kind that comes from perfect hair days, polished resumes, or feeling in control. I’m talking about the kind of confidence that stays steady even when life is uncertain.
True confidence is rooted in identity—not in what you do, but in who you are. And more importantly, whose you are.
When your confidence is built on the truth that you are a child of God, uniquely created on purpose, everything changes. You stop hustling for approval. You stop comparing your journey to someone else’s highlight reel. You start standing tall in the assurance that you have value, even on your worst day.
For me, true confidence began to grow when I stopped tying my worth to my performance. It took a while (and some Holy Spirit reminders), but over time I began to believe what God said about me more than the lies in my head.
Here’s just a glimpse of what God says is true about you:
You are His child.“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” — 1 John 3:1
You are chosen and deeply loved.“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you...” — John 15:16
You are accepted—just as you are.“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you...” — Romans 15:7
You are wonderfully unique.“You knit me together in my mother’s womb...” — Psalm 139:13
You are fully forgiven.“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32
You are a new creation.“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
You are strong in Him.“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” — Philippians 4:13
You were created with purpose.“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works...” — Ephesians 2:10
You don’t have to try harder. You just have to stand in the truth that you are already enough, already loved, and already equipped for what God has called you to do.
