A couple of years into my life coaching career, I did something that changed the game. At the time, I didn’t realize how significant it was…
It was 2011. I remember sitting in my home office, feeling sick to my stomach.
I had just gotten off the phone with a project manager at the marketing research firm where I was doing consulting work. I told him I wouldn’t be doing work for them anymore because I was going to focus solely on coaching.
After hanging up, I had second thoughts.
Did I do the right thing?
Can I really make this coaching thing work?
What about the money?
It’s human nature to stick with what’s comfortable, isn’t it?
It would have been easier to continue with marketing research rather than do the hard work of building a life coaching business.
Yet, I knew whatever I focused on would grow. And my heart was with coaching, not marketing research.
Ultimately, I stood firm in my decision and didn’t look back.
And the decision to focus on coaching made ALL the difference...
Once I focused on what I was most passionate about, my energy skyrocketed.
My enthusiasm & passion attracted new clients.
Life was more meaningful because I was living with purpose.
And here I am, almost a decade later, loving what I do! Seeing clients reshape their lives so they have more fun, purpose & meaning. Experiencing the fulfillment that comes from using what I've been given to make a difference in people's lives.
Where’s your focus these days?
Is it where you really want to be?
